Objective: We are looking for an Accountant for our Qatar office located in Al Jazeera Tower, Doha. This individual will be responsible for supporting senior finance individuals on accomplishing some of the accounting department responsibilities and various general accounting tasks and financial reporting. Duties of Qatar Accountant are as below: 1. Monthly bank reconciliation 2. Submits to Head Office monthly summary of expected payables 3. Preparing cheques and Bank transfer 4. Posting vouchers and daily receipts in Elite system 5. Assisting on Monthly billing in coordination with Head office central billing team 6. Handling company petty cash and Trademark float 7. Monitors Accounts Receivables and supervise support staffs for collection hereof 8. Coordinates with lawyers and support staffs regarding status of collectible invoices 9. Coordinates with Head Office and external auditors during year-end audit 10. Ensures supporting documents and filing are in order 11. Submits to Head Office monthly payroll deductions and expense claims 12. Submits to Head Office monthly trademark report 13. Attend to queries and reconciliations regarding customer AR and trust transactions 14. Coordinates with Head Of Office for other assignments 15. Understanding Qatar tax requirement and applying the same 16. Raise any concerns respecting accounting process or invoicing with HOO and propose any improvements to HOO where applicable. 17. Alarm HOO of any collection concerns weekly based on outcome of collection meeting - Bachelor's degree in Accounting - 3-5 years in a progressive accounting field - Law firm experience is an advantage - Proficiency in MS office (Excel) Language Skills: English, but bilingual (English & Arabic) speaker is an advantage Current residence: Qatar only Desired start date: As soon as possible Al Tamimi & Company is the largest and most dynamic non-affiliated law firm in the Middle East with 13 offices across 7 countries and comprising 270 lawyers.
