ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • liaising extensively with external or internal clients; • analyzing clients’ existing systems; • translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs; • presenting proposals to clients; • working closely with other developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction; • drawing up a testing schedule for the complete system; • overseeing the implementation of a new system; • planning and working flexibly to a deadline; • writing user manuals; • providing training to users of a new system; • Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Should have a minimum of 2 years of technology experience with at least 2 years hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Extensive knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software applications. • Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support. • Good background in Data Base design in Microsoft SQL, MySQL, Oracle DB and Access. • Knowledge in Microsoft .NET, C#, PHP, Excel, Word, Outlook and HTML. • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities; • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities. • Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours. • Excellent English oral and written communication skills. • Post-secondary degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and education. • A results oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment. PREFERRED SKILLS • Bachelor’s degree with a major in the field of Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Science. • Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence theory and concepts are a plus • Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle DBMSs.
