Mèdecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is an International Humanitarian Organization providing medical aid to populations in distress, victims of natural and man made disasters and victims of armed conflict, regardless of race, religion and political believe. In 1999 MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its work. Currently MSF works in more than 70 countries. For more information, visit our Arabic website: http://www.msfuae.ae/ Location: Al-Jawf, Sa’ada, Hajja, Sana’a, Albaidha. Duration: one year (renewable) with three months probation period. MAIN RESPONSABILITIES: - Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care (consultation, diagnosis, treatment, follow up, prevention ...etc.) to patients/beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, skills, MSF protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients/beneficiaries health conditions. - Respond to the medical emergencies as needed. - Work in close cooperation with and support the rest of the medical team/wards, to ensure quality medical care. - Put in place the emergency disaster response plan of the hospital along with the other medical staff, in order to ensure the continuity of the services under any circumstance. - Check and control the rational distribution of medicines and equipment under his/her responsibility and take care the quality, disinfection and sterilization of the medical material. Assure general compliance with standing hygiene standards. - Participate in MSF training/refreshment medical sessions inside or outside Yemen. - Train and ensure ongoing training of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team in order to optimize the quality of care. - Manage and supervise the team under his/her direct responsibility according to MSF HR policies and procedures. - Be part of collection and analysis of health situations, epidemiological data and checking its validity and informing the line manager, in order for MSF to fast response in cases of emergencies and epidemics. - Due to the nature of the project, flexibility in tasks will be required, with willingness to cover other tasks not mentioned above. And Willingness and ability to live and work in the post area.
