Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is an International Medical Humanitarian Organization providing medical aid to populations in distress, victims of natural and man made disasters and victims of armed conflict, regardless of race religion and political believe. Currently, MSF operates in more than 70 countries. For more information, visit our Arabic website, www.msfuae.ae MSF is recruiting staff to work in its project in (Al-Jawf, Sa’ada, Hajja, Sana’a, Albaidha) Location: Al-Jawf, Sa’ada, Hajja, Sana’a, Albaidha. Duration: one year (renewable) with three--months probation period. Main Responsibilities: - Ensures quality of pre & post-operative care. - Carries out emergency and programmed surgical interventions following MSF protocols. - Checks that hygiene protocols are properly followed in theatre. - Carries out medical rounds in the surgical department in collaboration with the medical team - Respond to the medical emergencies as needed - Participate in MSF training - train and ensure ongoing training of the medical/paramedical multidisciplinary team in order to optimize the quality of care - Be part of collection and analysis of health situations, epidemiological data and checking its validity and informing the line manager, in order for MSF to fast response in cases of emergencies and epidemics - Put in place the emergency disaster response plan of the hospital along with the other medical staff, in order to ensure the continuity of the services under any circumstance. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education: Essential diploma of medicine with specialization in surgery + 1-2 years certified work experience. Languages: Arabic / English. Computer knowledge: Excel, Word, Internet Skills and abilities: • Willingness and ability to live and work in the post area. • Organization, initiative, tidiness and courtesy. • Ability to prioritize activities in case of overwhelming workload. • Ability to be flexible to adapt to changing working conditions, organized and capable to take initiative. • Work according to protocols and guidelines. • Interest in and commitment to MSF’s humanitarian values & activities.
