JOB OFFER Action Contre la Faim (ACF), is an International Humanitarian Organization which is private, non-political, non-denomination and non-profit making. Action Contre la Faim vocation is to save lives by combating hunger, disease and those crises threatening the lives of vulnerable men, women and children. ACF currently operates in 46 countries globally and conduct programs in nutrition, food security, health, water and sanitation. (1) Deputy Logistic Head of Department “Re-advertisement’’ Location: Sana’a with regular travel to the field Duration: One year (renewable) with three-month probation period Assignment:. Assist the Logistics Head of Department in his work. Be responsible for supervising the logistics and animating the teams in the absence of the Logistics Head of Department. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist the Logistic Head of department – Replace the Logistic Head of Department when absent (following the responsibilities and tasks delegation); ACF representation in dedicated meeting as logistic cluster; Briefing of all new recruited staff on logistic mission settlement and procedures; Identify, measure and master potential risks to staff and property; • Supervise the management of teams with the Logistics Head of Department according to the division of tasks :Manage the chain of supplies and international purchase orders; Manage the equipment, means of communication and the pool of vehicles; Supervise the work and check the needs for renovation and maintenance; Write / compile logistics reports. • Maintain contact with the relevant bodies – Check that all official documents, registrations and insurances are up to date as concerns the vehicles; Obtain official authorizations for logistics-related tasks. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree +2 years’ higher training in logistics or equivalent level Experience in humanitarian work – Experience in logistics, management and security management – Good organizer – Good analytical capacity – Rigor – Team spirit – Capacity to communicate with others and good human relations – Computer knowledge (Word – Excel) – Perfect command of English; and flexible in travel to the field projects when required.
