Responsible for superviseing the activities of the Operations Section, covering Helpdesk, User Support, Telecom, Networking, Operating Systems and Database.

Providing Inputs for Hardware, Software and Network Requirements for the Facility
Providing inputs on long-term goals and strategies for Hospital hardware, software and network, ensuring flexibility to respond to technological changes, maximising savings on PC hardware acquisitions while minimising financial and technological risks.
Analysing application load balancing, using monitoring tools, across various systems, to ensure optimum utilisation and performance.
Devising techniques and procedures, and scaning the market for new tools / technology to improve operational efficiency, increase system availability and operational efficiency, minimise error potential and maximise utilisation of processing resources.
Providing Management with daily/weekly/monthly metrics related to the Operations Section. Improve upon SLA’s and reduce sigma deficiencies.
Implementing and maintaining industry best business practices in realtion to both Helpdesk and Support, i.e. Change Management, Helpdesk SLA’s, Root Cause Analysis, Critical Work Teams, etc…
Supervising the activities of assigned personnel in the Operations Section Overseeing the activities of the User Support and Help Desk staff, and ensuring the appropriate and timely resolution of related problems to ensure that a good service is provided to the facility
Overseeing the activities of the Networking and Telecom, and ensuring that a high level of support is given to network and Telecom problems to ensure that appropriate backup services are available and a high level of technical support is provided
Overseing the security of network systems to safeguard the facility
Allocating resources and defines work responsibilities, priorities and targets of Operations section staff.
Supervising activities of assigned staff to ensure successful completion and implementation of applications in terms of delivery schedule, cost and product quality
Formulating best practices, procedures and standards for the Operations section, in coordination with the Applications Officer
Supervising and oversees all related activities within the Section to ensure conformance with such procedures and standards.
Infrastructure Planning
Overseeing the activities of the Operation Section, covering all aspects of database monitoring and the development of database configurations
Ensuring that all activities are in line with facility standards and that related cost-effective solutions are provided to the facility
Considering new products or technologies that can be implemented within the Hospital to enhance operations to ensure that the best, most cost effective products are used.
Reviewing the facilities requirements for hardware, software, network requirements and replacement programs, analysing the justification for such requirements.
Supervising and planning the installation of all central computing resources in the Hospital, and co-ordinates the activities of appropriate staff to ensure that planned systems implementation and administration are achieved
Formulating the facilities standard specifications for hardware, software and network to ensure systems and procedural integrity and compatibility. Develops standards and protocols for interoperability, including integrated applications and client / server configurations
Ensuring that all activities comply with set standards.
Ensuring Customer Service
Developing and implementing Helpdesk services, service level agreements and support policies and procedures, as well as feedback mechanisms to ensure the highest quality support for the service rendered to the employees Required:
Proficiency in English language
MS Office and computer proficiency
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet goals and deadlines
Good communication skills

Ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously (multitask) and move them all towards resolution Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology/Computer Network/Communication/Network |
