We are now recruiting talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Associate Director - Environment to work on our projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Take responsibility for UAE environment team P&L and to identify and manage commercial and technical risks for Hyder Consulting.
* Deliver and ensure the environment team in the UAE delivers effective solutions to clients to the appropriate schedule and quality.
* Develop/maintain relationships with key and new clients.
* Manage complex projects from bid production to project completion including project planning, programming, financial and resource management.
* Act as a Project Director to provide technical leadership and technical review for a variety of projects.
* Ensure a high quality, consistent approach to technical outputs.
* Be seen to be a leader by the team, clients and in the industry
* Promote good written and verbal communication skills to deliver clear messages in technical reports, bid documents, presentations and marketing literature.
* Take responsibility for coordinating Work Packaging within and outside the Region.
* Ensure people, systems and processes are in place and work effectively together.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant degree and MSc/second degree from an accredited University.
* Extensive experience in undertaking high profile environmental/sustainability projects in public and private sectors.
* Evidence of leading and empowering successful, multidisciplinary teams.
* Working knowledge of international and UAE environmental legislation, trends, case law, standards and guidance.
* Proven experience in preparing major tender documents including financial and resource breakdowns.
* Track record in key client management and winning new business.
* Good communication skills and ability to develop key relationships.
* Expertise in preparing literate, high quality reports with appropriate IT skills.
