Job Title: Technical Support and International Cooperation Officer Vacancy Code: UNOPS/HUB/YEM/14/017 Duration of Contract: Five Month Duration of Announcement: seven calendar days MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Act as liaison between the Secretariat and International Partners. 2. Prepare plans, need assessments and technical reports relevant to the CDC and NA as well as Secretariat issues. 3. Create and maintain work plans and any other briefing reports/updates as requested by stake holders. 4. Provide and coordinate for effective and efficient technical support for CDC, NA and Secretariat as deemed necessary. 5. Assist in locating and liaison with specific expertise needed. 6. Coordinating & facilitating the training sessions and various technical meetings (seminars, meetings, study visits, etc.). 7. Analyze reports and documents. 8. Ensure proper communication and correspondence with the various International Partners (Trust Fund, donors and INGOs). 9. Prepare Terms of References (ToRs) and project concept notes. 10. Supervise the work of the team coordinators and provision of advice and technical input and feedback on their work. 11. Produce monthly progress reports and interim reports as needed. 12. Prepare reports and presentations for the various International Partners (Trust Fund, donors and INGOs). 13. Ensure quality and accuracy of records, files, logging and documents conducted by Department Coordinators. 14. Assist Manager in maintaining good and regular contact with different local and international experts. 15. Assist Manager on various tasks as necessary. Qualifications and Experience • University degree in management or a relevant area. • A minimum of 3 years of proven practical experience in working with international organizations. Skills • Excellent computer skills, especially MS Office Application. • High proficiency in written and spoken Arabic and English. • Accountability. • Excellent inter-personal and teamwork skills, with a demonstrated ability to knowledge sharing and collaborative work. • Ability to contribute innovative solutions to achieve common objectives. • Ability to motivate multidisciplinary teams. • Ability to work under tight deadlines • Strong analytical skills. • Good skills in correspondence (oral and written).
