Job Specifications : Job Title Area Technical Sales Engineer Reports To Regional Manager Role Owing to the rapid business growth and the need to support our regional office, a vacancy has arisen for an Area Technical Sales Engineer to be based in Cairo. The candidate is expected to promote the sales of the company products, energy recovery and conservation solutions & engineered systems through customer visits, technical seminars and carrying out plant audits. Responsibilities Essential Task (Other duties may be assigned) Using your technical selling skills and in conjunction with the Export Regional Manager and senior engineer, to formulate and implement an annual sales plan. To conduct customer visits on a regular basis to create product demand through technical sell approach. Responsible for ensuring maximum level of customer satisfaction. To cooperate, support, motivate and communicate with the appointed local distributor including conducting appropriate technical training of their engineers as required. To develop a thorough knowledge of the local market in order that effective sales activities can be identified and implemented. Generate written monthly & quarterly reports in English covering all elements of responsibilities and any other such reports and /or presentations that may be required by Export Regional Manager.  Assist the Regional Manager to produce yearly Forward Business plan. Responsibilities Other Tasks  Keep records and to report on all sales activities, market developments and trends. Maintains competitor product and marketing information, i.e. product ranges, price comparisons, product performance etc. Maintains positive working relationships with all customers and understands their business needs and goals. Visit steam plants to provide technical advice to help improve their steam plant and process efficiency. Carry out steam system surveys and make recommedations for improvements as appropriate. Visit consultants and contractors involved in steam projects and to contribute to the design and specifications of the steam system.  Provide technical support to customers for all products and services. Provide customers with accurate quotations and to follow these up regularly. Review and research product problems and customer complaints using information from policies, procedures and best practices in liaison with Regional Manager and the Export Department in England. Determine best method to resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction. Overnight travel may be required from time to time. To plan sales activities carefully and to provide weekly customer visit plan to Regional Manager. To prepare reports on customer visits. Maintain an accurate records of expenses and submit a monthly claim in the required format. Project tracking, from conception to completion. Sales Area Cairo and surrounding regions. The candidate must be prepared to travel to other areas upon request to support the Regional Manager to carry out surveys, seminars and exhibitions.   Requirement The Candidate The ideal candidate will be a goal setter, self-starter with a keen eye on detail, possesses strong leadership qualities and willing to put forward new ideas. He must have a strong work ethic, will do/can do with urgency. The candidate must cherish a career in technical sales & marketing. Proficiency in English language (both written and verbal) is essential. Strong communications skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels. Possesses strong track record in technical sales utilizing various market channels. Education Bachelors degree in engineering (preferably Mechanical, Chemical or Marine). Skills Computer skills – MS Windows,Word, Excel, Outlook, Autocad & Power Point. Good organization & analytical abilities are needed.  Excellent presentation skills (ie. Delivering technical presentation etc) Experience (Would be advantageous but not essential) Gained from working within a process plant, fluid control, plant utilities or project engineering type environment. Fresh graduates will also be considered. A background in the following :a) Steam and fluid control.b) Pressure systems and piping.c) Oil & petrol chemical, pharmaceutical or process industries.d) Process instrumentation. Liason To communicate effectively with other elements of the organization, including the Export Departmental Technical and Commercial teams, Marketing, Engineering Departments in the U.K. as well as worldwide Associate Companies in international projects.     We are a leading international engineering company with our headoffice, England.
