INTERSOS is currently looking to recruit a qualified staff for covering the following position of:
GBVIMS Assistant/Reporting Officer

Status Contract – full-time for 9 months
Starting date Immediate Purpose / Objectives:
The GBVIMS Assistant is responsible for ensuring the accurate capturing and processing of relevant
information as delivered by the Abyan project staff, including analysis and for translating reports into
Arabic and English. The GBVIMS Assistant is also responsible for translation when required.
Responsibilities/duties:
1. Check the GBV Intake Form, prior to insertion in the database and ensure the correct filling of the
document;
2. Manage the GBVIMS database professionally: data collection, insertion, data processing and analysis;
knowledge of the GBVIMS manual is essential;
3. Provide timely monthly, mid-yearly and yearly reports and trend analysis: data, statistics, graphics
and table should be produced, as required by INTERSOS management;
4. Control the form, insert the data and manage the data of the vulnerability assessments;
5. Ensure the respect of the principle of confidentially;
6. When needed and applicable, facilitate the communication of INTERSOS staff, both in written and
verbal, through translation and interpretation;
7. Support the Lawyer in data management, when needed and requested by the Activities Coordinator;
8. Support INTERSOS in the set up of awareness sessions and other prevention activities in Abyan, by
participating in the organization by translating during sessions;
9. Ensure, when needed and applicable, written communication between INTERSOS staff and
management, by translating forms, e-mails, reports and any other relevant documents (including
translation from/into English, if applicable), respecting given deadlines;
10. Any other task not listed here and necessary for the project implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education and experience:
- University degree in management, education, psychology, social sciences.
- Relevant professional experience within an NGO and working in protection-related activities;
- Prior experience with persons of concern (including conflict-affected host communities,
extremely vulnerable individuals); Skills and traits:
- Excellent command of (written and spoken) Arabic and English;
- Excellent Computer/IT literacy (Windows, MS Office, Internet etc.);
- Well organised, able to prioritise time and tasks;
- Strong communication skills;
