Job Title: Food Security Cluster Facilitator Place of Work: Harad Reports to: Food Security and Agriculture Cluster Coordinator FUNCTION PURPOSE The Facilitator is a member of the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster team and will work impartially with all the members of the Cluster and its sub components. The objective of a Food Security Cluster Facilitator is to support at the field level the Food Security Cluster Coordinator in organizing timely and effective FSAC meetings, information management and coordination with the local humanitarian partners and local authorities. THIS WILL BE ACHIEVED TROUGH • Inclusion of key local humanitarian partners in the FSAC meetings; • At local level establish and maintain an appropriate Food Security coordination mechanisms; • Coordination with UN agencies, INGOs, local authorities, state institutions, local civil society and other relevant actors; • Locally participate in other relevant coordination and Cluster meetings (ICCM, Nutrition, Wash, ER; • Ensuring appropriate attention to priority cross-cutting and cross-sectoral issues (e.g. gender, age, HIV and AIDS, human rights, environment and early recovery);! • Participate in Cluster needs assessment and analysis; • Ensuring monitoring and reporting as required; • Other tasks required by the Food Security and Agriculture Cluster Coordinator; QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES • At least three years of Professional experience in humanitarian response including in the food security sector. • University degree in food security, agriculture, economics or related field. • Ability to work and extensively travel in the assigned area. • Experience in facilitating and chairing field meetings; ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders and develop consensus and joint working; excellent English and Arabic communication skills, both verbal and written. • Willingness and ability to work in multicultural and difficult environments, in often stressful time and critical situation.
