Ref: HP094-1278 ROLE SUMMARY: The Construction team requires a qualified site based architectural inspectors to coordinate the review and approval of design solutions on the major rail project. The primary focus of the role will to focus on the correct installation of material and ensure quality. The chosen architectural inspectors will also assist their superiors who will have responsibility for reporting on safety issues and any violations observed. KEY DUTIES: Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: • Reviewing and responding to all clarifications, materials and drawings submittals delivered by the contractor is in compliance with tender specification and project requirements to ensure the quality of works in accordance with the time frames and mile stones • Monitoring and managing site supervision team in compliance with the Project Specification, checking of documentations related to the works and reviewing of the contractor’s monthly valuations and reports • Assisting the Resident Engineers and Assistant Resident Engineers in review of architectural materials are in compliance with approved material submittals, finishing inspection, drawings, RFI’s and all architectural correspondences • Monitoring the material deliveries to site to ensure the quality and compliance with approved material • Ensure works installed are in compliance with the approved drawings and specifications • Coordinating site installation issues and referring them to the design-build contractors to resolve • Providing oversight and confirming acceptable solutions are implemented correctly • Highlighting any violations to architectural related issues on site • Attending progress meetings with the Resident Engineers and Assistant Resident Engineers • Verifying completion of architectural works • Preparing daily progress report and report reasons The relevant candidate will have all of the following: Essential: • Relevant Architectural or Construction related qualification, e.g. B.Arch / M.Arch • Minimum of 3 years relevant site architecture experience • Knowledge of project design and construction documentation and construction materials • Combined design and design management experience, including knowledge of plans and specifications for building projects Desirable: • Project experience within Rail / Metro environment • Middle East experience • Fluent written and verbal Arabic Language Parsons is a leader in many diverse markets such as infrastructure, transportation, water, telecommunications, aviation, commercial, environmental, planning, industrial manufacturing, education, healthcare, life sciences and homeland security.
