In this position, candidate will be a core contributor Ruby on Rails Developer, who will participate in architecture planning of an SOA / Web Services platform that integrates with internal and 3rd party systems. The individual must have strong technical skills, be independent and resourceful, be able to communicate and collaborate effectively, and be able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field is a Must. 1+ years experience building web applications using Ruby on Rails is a Must Focused on open source frameworks and web programming languages in general. Excellent understanding of the MVC architecture and OOP design and principles. Very good experience in SQL databases including MS SQL and MY SQL.  Working knowledge integrating SQL based database calls into middleware and front-end modules and scripts. Front-end Web application development knowledge: CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and frameworks such as Jquery.js. Proficiency in working with Web service based APIs, including Soap, REST.Knowledge with Subversion, Git or other distributed version control system. Familiarity working in Lean / Agile development processes. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think logically. Self-starter; eager to learn new technologies and bring fresh ideas to the table. Dedicated, independent, results-oriented and able to work under pressure. Excellent communication and team work.
