Ref: HP094-1273 Position requires thorough knowledge of civil/structural design and engineering techniques. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Devise new approaches to problems, and review or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and RMTC standards.
Review structural shop drawing of conventional reinforced concrete structural elements from
basement raft slab to the superstructure and/or steel fabrication shop drawings.
Review contractor’s submittals such as material, construction methodologies, subcontractor
prequalification documents, calculations and others.
Witness test conducted at site and at laboratories for subgrade formation, rebar tensile test,
concrete durability tests, rebar pull out test and others associated with the project requirements.
Responsible in providing response to Request for Information (RFI).
Provide alternative construction solutions.
Witness mock ups and attends safety meeting, installation demonstration of proposed material.
Tasked to ensure works complies with the project specification and drawing through site
inspection.
Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.
Reporting to Sr. Structural Engineer and/or Lead Civil Design Manager.
