Ref: KP164-421 My client, a well known dewatering and rental services company, is looking for an Asset Manager to join their team with an in depth understanding of the supply chain processes & procedures with a particular focus on Dewatering or Construction environment.
A brief description of what the prospective candidate will be required to carry out is the following:
- Lead and manage production planning, purchasing, inventory control, forecasting, warehousing, transportation and other areas as required
- Manage inventory and establishes controls to ensure Action is operating at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk
- Assist with long-term strategies and short term tactical plans to achieve uninterrupted contracting objectives and deliverables
- Accountable for the timely availability of assets and materials needed to support project needs
- Ensure the supply chain is sustained through forecasting, supplier lead time reduction activities, supplier development,
material replenishment system implementation and successful creation of vendor relationships
- Actively pursue cost savings and cost avoidance through an aggressive supplier quotation program
- Monitor cost with supply chain partners, with aim of reducing costs and gaining efficiencies in the supply chain, monitoring KPIs
- Generate effective communications, good relations and a positive image with suppliers and coworkers, promoting courtesy, objectivity and fairness
- Degree (or equivalent) from an accredited University with a Master’s in Business Management preferred.
- Sharp negotiating skills with a proven track record of successful negotiations with suppliers
- Knowledge and understanding of Pumps, Compressors and Generators
- Strong knowledge of asset management, economic analysis, accounting and finance
- Demonstrable management experience in a Construction or Engineering industry with high turnover and activity
- Advanced skills on Microsoft applications and working knowledge on ERP systems
- Excellent team skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively across variety of internal and external stakeholders; a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions
- Min. 12-15 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain, Plant & Asset management with 5 years of direct management experience
