Ref: OP181-03 Develop scheme designs for costing purposes Generate/run computer model of developed structural framing layout Produce design spreadsheets in MS Excel or MathCAD Carry out design of structural members and related member connection details Provide CAD draftsmen of necessary reinforcement and connection details Check conformance of CAD output against contract drawings and structural design Validates structural design output of the team Ensure company design standards are put into practice Liaise with client's engineers and architects Make sure design schedules are on track with overall project schedule Skills: Graduate of BS Civil Engineering (5yr course) and awarded governmental license to practice civil engineering profession Have worked as design engineer in a precast company for at least 8 years Familiar with QCS's recognized code of practice for design and construction of precast concrete structures: ACI 318M-R, Uniform Building Code 1997, BS 8110 p1 & 2, PCI Design Manual 120-04, ASCE-07, IBC-2009, etc Knowledgeable user of structural software: Staad Pro, Etabs, related design programs like Concise Beam Program by Black Mint, etc Education: BS Civil Engineering SMEET was established in 2010 by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, Barwa Real Estate Company & The First Investor.
