Design, Monitoring Sc Evaluation Manager:
The DM&E Manager is an important position in the Mercy Corps Jordan program, responsible for playing a lead role in strategy discussions, proposal writing and providing technical assistance on DM&E to each sector. S/he will be responsible forcross-cutting programmatic information management, monitoring and evaluation, ensuring that information collected is reflected upon, used to improve ongoing programs, and is incorporated into consistently high quality reports and proposal development. The DM&E Manager will incorporate all best practices of M&£ in the proposal design stage for most effective program management during implementation, In coordination with program directors and team members, s/he will be responsible for developing, coordinating, maintaining and constantly improving the nation-wide M&E system, as well as training M&E staff.
The ideal candidate should have a relevant academic qualification, minimum 3-5 years of active M&E work experience in development programming required; ideal candidate will have both theoretical and
practical background in M&E and skilled in qualitative and quantitative MSiE methodologies and techniques, proven ability to work productively with a variety of stakeholders to run participatory
processes and meet tight deadlines with an emphasis on producing quality products, experience with a range of institutional donors such as EC, USAID, and DFJD, Excellent computer skills, including experience with: Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, SPSS, Access, SQL, and any other statistical packages, maintain close working relationships with local authorities international HGOs, and local NOOs and associations, commitment to local capacity building and the ability to engage local stakeholders in the project design and implementation, fluency in spoken and written English as well as Arabic computer literate and strong organizational skills.
