PU-AMI WEE Project Manager Première Urgence-Aide Médicale Internationale (PU-AMI) is an international apolitical and non-religious non for profit organization intervening in more than 20 countries around the world to help people to survive and rebuild their lives. PU-AMI mission started in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) in 2002; currently working in both the Northern of the West Bank (Nablus, Qalqilya, Salfit districts) and the Gaza Strip (Rafah & Khan Younis districts in addition to Gaza city). The ongoing PU-AMI programs are focused on protection, agriculture, and economic recovery (CFW) and women economic empowerment sectors. Starting from 2013, PU-AMI is implementing one long term project, “Women Economic Empowerment” (WEE) project, funded by the European Union (EuropeAid). In this framework project, PU-AMI is partnering with Women for Life (WfL) for the purpose of supporting the empowerment of women in 10 Community Based Organizations (CBOs) of the Northern of West Bank (Salfit and Qalqilya) through raising knowledge, improving awareness and strengthening the employability and the entrepreneurship among women in 10 isolated villages. Women for Life Society (WFL) is an independent, non-profit Palestinian organization working in Salfit and Qalqilya provinces of the West Bank to eliminate violence against women, and empower women legally, socially, economically and politically. PU-AMI is looking to recruit a Project Manager who will be responsible for the implementation of the WEE Project under the supervision of PU-AMI WB Field Coordinator.   OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: To facilitate the coordination between PU-AMI and WfL and to support WfL in the implementation of the project. SCOPE OF WORK: Under the direct supervision of PU-AMI Field Coordinator, Project Manager will ensure efficient implementation of the project activities, supervise the team in implementing the activities, and facilitate the communication and cooperation between PU-AMI and WfL teams. REPORTS TO: PU-AMI WB Field Coordinator WORKS WITH: WfL General Director, WfL project team TIMEFRAME: 12 months/ renewable DUTY STATION: Strong presence in WfL office in Bedia in addition to presence in PU-AMI Field Office in Nablus DETAILED TASKS DESCRIPTION: -Be the direct link between WfL and PU-AMI teams for the proper implementation of the women economic empowerment project -Supervise the implementation of the project and all of its activities -Report to PU-AMI Field Coordinator weekly and monthly on project implementation status -Create and continuous update the various project follow up tools and budget follow up sheets -Contribute to the writing of the quarterly, intermediary and final reports to the donor in collaboration with PU-AMI Field Coordinator -Work with WfL Project team in planning the activities’ implementation -Ensure the project activities are implemented based on the planned timeline  -Represent the project in meetings with donors and stakeholders, as assigned by PU-AMI Field Coordinator -Support WfL staff in the implementation of the various project’s activities -Support WfL staff in the development of action plans for the activities -Define the capacity building needs of WfL staff and suggest a capacity building trainings -Work on developing the capacity of WfL staff -Work jointly with WfL and PU-AMI communication department in managing the communication and visibility events -Follow-up the research and study works done by consultants in the frame of the project -To take the responsibility of being the direct and main link between WfL and PU-AMI for the proper implementation of the women economic empowerment project -Collaborating with PU-AMI Field Coordinator in developing, enhancing and implementing the proper synergy of cooperation between the project’s partners. QUALIFICATIONS: -Bachelor degree preferably in the field of social studies , business administration, education,  management and administration or related fields -Project management certificate is preferred. -Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in related fields GENERAL COMPETENCIES and SKILLS: -Professionalism, presentation, communication and networking  skills -Leadership skills and organizational skills, Report writing skills -Experience in project management, trainings and workshops implementation -Excellent computer skills, in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project and the Internet -Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English PU-AMI provides a work environment that reflects the values of integrity, diversity and gender equality.
