About Afghanistan National Participation Organization Afghanistan National Participation Organization (ANPO) is an independent, non political and not-for-profit organization that was established in 2008 to support cultural, social and civil development in Afghanistan. Job Summary The Communications Officer will work as a member of the team to implement the Communications Strategy of ANPO and undertake other communications, public relations and social media management activities as per annual plans. Duties and Responsibilities - Management and maintenance of ANPO social media activities. - Establishing and maintaining contacts with civil society organizations, government, donors and other stakeholders. - Attend meetings, conference, seminars and other events and represent ANPO at different levels. - Maintain a database of all ANPO contacts and update it regularly. - Work with team members to raise the visibility of ANPO in civil society scene of Afghanistan. - work on promoting the company image and brand and make sure that all organization staff are adhering to organization's communications policies. - Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor. Qualification - University Degree in Communications, Journalism, Literature or Social Sciences - Excellent command of the English language along with Dari and Pashto - Experience working in an international or national civil society organization - Knowledge of CSO, government and donor communities in Afghanistan. - Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. - Excellent knowledge of computer programs and software. - Basic knowledge of e-communications.
