VAM SYSTEMS is currently looking for UI Consultant for our UAE operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions:
Skill Set required:
• Formal education in interaction design (Bachelor's/Master's/Diploma)
• A minimum of 5 years of formal industry/professional experience as a web/mobile designer
• A strong proponent of clean, valid, maintainable, and semantically correct HTML/CSS, including HTML5/CSS3 / JavaScript / JQuery/ Ajax
• In-depth knowledge of the capabilities of IE8-IE10, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome
• Understanding the J2EE
• Solid knowledge of DOM manipulation
• Expert knowledge of Javascript, XML, JSON, AJAX
• Intermediate to expert skill level on AngularJS, Bootstrap, Jquery using object oriented JavaScript framework.
• Experience with CSS preprocessors, frameworks, and development/debugging tools
• Working knowledge of web accessibility guidelines, data object and page optimization practices etc.
• Working experience with software revision control systems
• SOA (service oriented architecture experience)environment experience
• Solid portfolio demonstrating design savvy
• Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography
• Strong understanding of mobile platforms, particularly iOS, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone7
• Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries
• Must have in sync with recent design standards and trends
• Client-facing role as a senior digital / website / UI / UX designer and front-end developer
• Proven track record of designing across various devices and platforms including; websites, ecommerce, mobile Apps, Facebook Apps, rich media etc
• Experience with 3rd party API’s e.g. including Google Services, Payment Providers and Social Network sites etc.
• Experience with leading Content Management Systems (CMS), ecommerce platforms and similar software frameworks
• Web Services experience with REST, SOAP, JSON and XML documents
• Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process
• Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills. Capable of juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time
