CANADIAN NEXEN PETROLEUM EAST AL-HAJR LTD. Vacancy for Yemeni Nationals Only IT SUPERVISOR Department: IT & ADMINISTRATION Location: Sana’a/Field Job Duties: a. Performs daily checks of network system backup, disk space monitoring and gateway communication b. Ensures accurate records for all network equipment are kept. This includes network layout diagrams for all equipment connected to the network (routers, switches, hubs, servers, printers, modems, etc.) c. Coordinates work teams and material for wiring new locations. This includes adhering to pre-defined guidelines and standards set out by the IT Manager. d. Provides remote client support. This includes setup, configuration and troubleshooting remote communication problems. e. Provides input to the IT Manager on budget and equipment orders f. Responsible for all aspects of the email system in Yemen and manages all internal IT projects. g. Supervise the ordering and inventory of spare parts h. Directs the preparation and installation of network software i. Directs the diagnosis and resolution of network software problems j. Directs the performance of equipment repair, the building of cables, and the replacement of boards and components to identify or remedy failures k. Perform local and remote testing of network equipment, including running computer programs to diagnose faults l. Participates in setting Company and department goals and objectives. m. Supervises and assists application Specialist & Communication Specialists with installation and troubleshooting of applications. Minimum Requirements: a. Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or an equivalent combination of experience and education b. Working knowledge of structured wiring, wireless technologies, router and Ethernet switch technology, and fiber optic. c. 10 years' experience in the operation and administration of a Microsoft Network. MCITP certified d. Certified in Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (MCTS) e. Certified in Microsoft Exchange 2010 (MCSA) f. Good working knowledge with Linux operating system g. Good working knowledge in Microsoft Visual Basic scripting h. Good knowledge of English and ability to communicate effectively APPLICATION CRITERIA: 1.
