Position:                 Finance Manager, Sana’a Reports to:             Finance Admin Director, Sana'a Location:                Based in Sana’a, with possible travel to field sites in Yemen About International Medical Corps International Medical Corps is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Context and Background International Medical Corps is anticipating funding for an emergency assistance project that will start in September. Through the Emergency Assistance to Vulnerable Population in Yemen project, IMC will address health concerns and immediate malnutrition as well as underlying causes. Primary Responsibilities of this position: •    Monitor the day-to-day accounting operations and financial support in accordance with donors and International Medical Corps internal policies and procedures.  •    Ensure required preapprovals are secured in advance of incurring an expense.  •    Prepare and ensure all approvals are secured in coordination with logistics department for the services and goods.  •    Account for procurement transactions to ensure adequate supporting documentation, accuracy, and control over payments.  •    Prepare ad hoc logistics and financial reporting to aid in tracking and reconciliation of transactions.  •    Maintain accurate financial transactions, grants and contracts records using ACCPAC accounting software.  •    Assist program staff and finance department in meeting donors and internal reporting requirements.  •    Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for submission to donor on or before the deadlines.  •    Support Finance Department in other finance related task, such as researches on financial compliance topics, accounting for overhead procurements transactions and maintenance of accurate financial transactions records.  •    Work with program and logistics staffs to ensure the coordination of programs are within budgeted targets.  Qualifications & Skills: •    Bachelor’s degree in finance and 5+ year of relevant work experience. •    Previous experience working for NGOs is preferable. •    Previous experience with ACCPAC accounting system is preferable. •    Ability to train national staff on finance technical issues. •    Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decision independently. •    Must work independently under difficult condition. •    Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions from senior managers in the field. •    Strong communication skill, with the ability to effectively present information and respond appropriately to questions form senior managers in the field.   Application Process: Interested and qualified candidates should send their CVs and Covering letters to [email protected] .   NOTE: Applications for this job are not through Yemen HR website.
