A Sudanese financial affair is seeking to recruit the following: Database Administrator The Database Administrator is responsible for maintaining database servers and applications. He/she is in charge of providing support to all System Development & Operation staff, by offering adequate access, data space, processing power, and Security for their daily work. 1. Plan and establish database backup and recovery procedures. 2. Establish database startup and shutdown procedures. 3. Manage and examine database security and access control. 4. Maintain database and table space allocation, and forecast future growth. 5. Manage Database strong structure and primary objects. 6. Install database new release and upgrades. 7. Develop SQL utilities to support applications. 8. Perform database fine tuning and optimize data access. 9. Plan archiving of historical data. 10. Perform Database analysis and capacity planning. 11. Document database maintenance procedures. 12. Manage and control database users and maintaining system security. · University Degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering or Equivalent. · Minimum 6 years of experience in the IT field, including 3 years of experience Database administration. · Strong background of Database Management Systems (Oracle 10g, SQL Server, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX/ Linux Shell Scripting, batch Scripting, TCP/IP). · Strong background of Windows (2003/2008) Server Operating System. · Strong background of Linux / UNIX Operating Systems. · Good knowledge of Database Application Programming. · Good technical knowledge in technology methodologies, design and implementation. · Ability to grasp new emerging state – of – the – art technologies when needed. · Knowledge of Oracle Real Application Clustering and High availability Solutions is addition. · Very good knowledge of MS Office Application: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc. · Knowledge of English and Arabic. · Problem solving skills, planning and organizing skills. · Able to handle, prioritize, multiple projects simultaneously. · Able to operate in a performance driven organization.
