The Responsive Governance Project - Yemen (RGP) is a project funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to strengthen Yemeni government institutions and improve its delivery of public services while encouraging more citizen participation in the political process. The (RGP)  currently  seeks qualified Yemeni candidates for the professional position outlined below:                                    JOB TITLE:   Finance Assistant. DEPARTMENT: Finance. POSITION LOCATION:   SANA’A, YEMEN. REPORTS TO: Finance Manager.   TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:    -          Ensure compliance with USAID regulations and Counterpart’s policies and procedures manual; -          Prepare the bank Cheque – wire transfer letters precisely, and follow up the bank for swifts and slips; -          Follow up & Support staff for travel advances and expense report. -          Assist on periodic petty cash reconciliation and physical count, and monthly bank reconciliations; -          Prepare a voucher form for each financial transaction and obtain the finance manager approval before recording the transaction into the database (QBs accounting system); -          Record all the recurring monthly expenses: rent & utilities, partners, sub-grantees, invoices, etc; -          Translate the supporting documents to assist HQ finance team to understand the transactions; -          Ensure all financial transactions have soft copy (scan) proper support documentation; -          Assist on completing the Month-end check-list; -          Other duties as assigned by the Line Supervisor.   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS ·         Bachelor degree in finance or administration. ·         Very good spoken and written English and Arabic. ·         Minimum of one year experience in finance or administration.                      TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT ·         Full-time ·         90 days probationary period   Application Process If you meet the requirements stated above, please send comprehensive curriculum vitae, to this Email  [email protected]  The deadline is  23 November , 2013.
