Capital Logistic Officer Country Logistic Manager – Country Finance Manager 12 months (renewable) Khartoum, Sudan 2.800 SDG – 3.300 SDG (according to qualification and experience) ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is an international NGO founded in 1993 and headquarter in Paris. We are implementing projects in 28 countries spread over Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. ACTED currently has operations in Zalingei, Central Darfur. The activities include WASH in camps and rural areas, basic infrastructures and Food Security livelihoods. The activities are spread over three administrative areas Terej, Abata and Sullu around Zalingei, and IDP camps, reaching an estimated 170.000 people. The CLO is the deputy of the Country Logistic Manager and will assist the CLM in all the sub functional areas in the CLM’s TORs. His role is based on delegated authority, responsibility and accountability for these functions. He therefore reports directly and functionally to the CLM. The CLO has a direct hierarchical and functional supervisory role for all staff under his department: · The Logistic Assistant · The Logistician in field bases · The Drivers at capital level · The Guards at capital · Support to manage and coordinate the entire procurement and supply chain resources in the mission. · Reinforce current procedures and the quality of ACTED internal control, based on international best practices, donor requirements and results of internal and external audits. · Ensure information flow with other departments for effective service delivery thus securing the successful conclusion of the programmes. · Accountable for his part in the compliance with the procurement procedures. · Support to control and manage all programme inventories in the mission (capital and bases). · Support to management of the IN & OUT processes in the Mission storage resources. · Support and guide overall delivery management for ACTED freight Transport. · Ensure the safety and effective use of all ACTED assets and property in the mission. · Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of these resources. · Accountable for his part in the compliance with assets, property and premises management procedures. · To ensure proper utilization, maintenance and follow up of the ACTED fleet. · To control and manage the cost of the fleet (fuel, maintenance and repairs). · Accountable for his part in the compliance with the fleet management procedures. · Ensure that ACTED’s security standards are implemented and maintained by all ACTED staff (international and national). · Ensure that all ACTED assets, property are secure at all times. · Advise and update ACTED’s security and safety guidelines as needed. · Diploma degree in Logistics or in any relevant field. · Strong experience in Logistics. · Ability to meet under administrative and programmatic deadlines. · Ability to follow logistics and financial procedures. · Willing to travel. · Mature and self control. · Communication skills. Ability to work with the different department, Logistics, Program. · Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). · Fluently in Arabic & English. · 4-5 years of experiences in INGO. · Duration: 12 months. · Location: Khartoum. · Date of beginning: 1st of December 2013 Applications, in English, should include a resume/CV, a cover letter and three references with at least one reference from a previous employer/supervisor.
