For more information, visit our Arabic website, http://www.msfuae.ae/ Location: Sana’a – HIV project and possible trips to some Yemeni governorates Duration: Until 31/12/2013 - renewable one year contract with three-month probation period RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Safe Driving / Security • Is responsible for the safe transportation of MSF passengers respecting all traffic rules, speed limits, other vehicles and pedestrians. • Assess the best routes to a destination based on security firstly and taking into consideration other factors such as busy times of day. • Communicate safety / security concerns or observations of concern to the passenger and to line manager and respond as advised. • Follow all MSF protocols, with particular attention to those relating to security, vehicle, movements and communication. Vehicle Maintenance and Care • Ensure that MSF vehicles are always in good condition, cleaned (inside and outside) following MSF protocols and a standard daily check for vehicles is undertaken before and after work trips. Immediately report possible problems. • Undertake refuelling as necessary and instructed and vehicle services in the MSF workshop as requested • Look after all equipment related to the vehicle driver and work of MSF and report any problems that require to be fixed. Other • Maintain good communications with the line manager and team and contribute to the well functioning of the HIV team.Support other logistic tasks as requested. Requirements: • Qualifications: Literacy essential, secondary education desirable. Essential driving license for vehicles. Arabic essential, English desirable • Experience: Two years minimum working as a driver, desirable experience with other NGOs. Essential good knowledge of area of work, basic mechanics, • Others: Essential good vision, Availability to travel and stay outside base overnight. Good team member and clear communicator.
