Due to an upcoming maternity leave, we are hiring for the position of Project Coordinator, New Product Development. This individual will assist in managing the overall project development process and coordinate activities related to the development/implementation of new products and product improvements. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS: What you will be doing • Project Management o Manage product development process from approval to implementation o Liaise with internal departments/external stakeholders on projects o Coordinate with QA the development of documentation for new products • Product Testing & Laboratory o Coordinate sensory evaluations and all internal/external testing. Maintain testing schedules • Administration o File/maintain government grants o Coordinate shipment of customer samples o Work with procurement to source new ingredients o Ensure all documentation is maintained and up to date. o Maintain nutritional database. Skills Required:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Relevant degree / diploma (BA/BS degree in Food Science or related Science) • Minimum three (3) years relevant progressively responsible work experience, including laboratory experience, within food related company. Supervisory experience an asset. • Previous work experience coordinating and executing projects within new product development/R & D • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task/work under pressure. • Capability to work with internal departments, external partners, and diverse personalities in a manner that promotes positive relationships. • Demonstrate strong written/verbal skills and clear communication with all levels of organization and external partners/suppliers/customers. • Working proficiency with MS Office applications, graphing, database programs, & internet applications. • Superior time management skills, multi-tasking skills, detail oriented, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
