Thales is a global technology leader for the aerospace, space, defense, security and transportation markets. Thales Security business unit is currently anticipating execution of the Special Airport Systems and Information and Communication Technology (SAS-ICT) Package as part of the Bahrain Airport Modernization Program. Position is open for Design Manager with an objective to achieve an approved Design of the SAS-ICT systems for the Bahrain Airport project. Roles & Responsibilities: ? Coordinating and making clear communications channel with the system engineers to ensure reflecting in the design preparation all the technical requirement of the system and according to the specifications and other relevant tender documents ? Ensuring Maintaining and applying the international codes and standards ISO, TIA/EIA, IEEE ..etc in line with project requirements ? Providing the guidance and support to the Design staff ? Reviewing and ensure the quality of the design shops drawings prepared or reviewed by the Design engineers upon getting final approval from Engineer ? Making sites trips prior to validate the proposed design or find any alternate proposal to suit the ongoing site constructions ? Reviewing and making the necessary quality control for the drawings received from subcontractors prior to submit them to the consultant Engineer for approval Work Experience Requirements ? A minimum of 8 years as experience in the Design and installation of ELV infrastructure networking and containments related to the systems, such as public address, Security access control, structured cabling networking, closed circuit television, Radio, Airport Operations Systems etc. Previous experience in airports constructions would be an advantage ? Ability to read and understand Architectural Drawings and having good knowledge in AutoCAD is an advantage The candidate should report to the Engineering and Technical Manager. Qualification and Educational Requirements: • Bachelor Degree in Electronic/ Electrical engineering • Excellent communications, analytical and reporting skills is a must. • Able to work under extreme pressure, flexible office hours & able to meet submission deadlines and flexibility to receiving orders and to carry out the necessary changes or variations in the design. Preferred skills: The candidate should have experience in: ? Full Awareness of international codes and standards and local rules, regulations and standards ? Familiar with the computer applications, Microsoft offices and Auto cad ?
