• Tier 1 Global Construction & Project Management Firm • Location: Hong Kong • Outstanding Expatriate Salary Package Ref # 600 Continued market growth has created this new role for a Contract Administrator / Contracts Manager on a project with our client, a global Tier 1 international construction contracting firm with worldwide offices. Their projects are civil, infrastructural and building and are large-scale, high $ value projects. The firm is now looking at building their current resources with additional hires for new projects. This role is accountable for commercial, financial, legal, risk and administrative functions for the project. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for contract management with a focus on claims management. This role has responsibility for two multi billion projects being a rail and a border crossing project. Responsibilities comprise to: • Provision of support for commercial planning and claims management for projects to minimise financial cost, maximise financial recovery and to limit contractual and commercial exposure to dispute. • Provide support and advice for analysis of claims • Direct staff on all contractual issues • Oversee all correspondence relating to claim issues • Provide strategy to resolve complex claim issues • Take a lead role in all claims related issues • Prepare monthly project reporting on claims to the Commercial Manager. • Review status of contracts with regard to financial risk of the project and provide guidance and recommendations for improvements. The attributes we seek comprise: • Degree qualification in quantity surveying, engineering, construction or comparable is essential with RCIS being highly regarded. • A minimum of 10 year’s contract administration and claims management experience is required with experience with Tier 1 contractors on projects valued in excess of USD200M. • A strong dynamic communicator with exceptional negotiation skills is essential with high energy levels being essential to fit the culture of this firm. • Candidates with expatriate experience in South East Asia particularly Hong Kong will be highly regarded.
