Principal areas of responsibility for the EPC Mechanical Startup Professional are the mechanical commissioning, testing, startup and initial operation of systems, sub-systems and equipment. EPC Mechanical Startup Professional is also responsible for assuring compliance with all lockout/tagout and other safety procedures from construction release and turnover through completion of the commissioning phase Responsible for direct interface with construction personnel coordinating construction completion in areas and systems under assignment Generates and maintains records of tests and other startup related activities Assist construction team in execution of required pre-commissioning activities Maintains communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information Advises startup management of developments that may affect project costs, schedules, and client relations Assists in the development of mechanical commissioning procedures Reviews system turnover packages Track and report on all issues affecting Mechanical Startup and Commissioning and promptly advising Lead Mechanical Startup Professional of issues that may impact achievement of project goals and objectives Maintain a daily diary to permanently record all significant project facts, events, conditions, visitors etc. Record and maintain as-built documentation and submit it to the Resident Engineers for updates Responsible for direct interface with, and providing assistance to other discipline startup professionals Ensure that spare parts and consumables necessary for operation of the assigned system are available Request operator, construction craft or vendor assistance as necessary Work with Startup Construction Superintendent to ensure Startup Activities that require craft support are planned, communicated and completed Minimum Qualifications 5 years mechanical startup experience on similar projects (Combined Cycle, Combustion Turbine) Engineering Degree/Certification (or equivalent operational experience (Naval, Maritime, Stationary Engineer)) OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Training – preferable Ability to commit to 3:1 FIFO roaster to Darwin Preferred Qualifications CH2M is an Equal Opportunities Employer 5 years mechanical startup experience on similar projects (Combined Cycle, Combustion Turbine) Engineering Degree/Certification (or equivalent operational experience (Naval, Maritime, Stationary Engineer)) As a global leader in consulting, design, design-build, operations, and program management, CH2M has the human and technical resources, the international footprint, and the depth of know-how and experience to help clients achieve success in any corner of the world.
