My client is an exciting luxury FMCG company supplying a niche sector of the high end hotel sector throughout the Middle East. Due to the current GM repatriating, the exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Manager with this rapidly growing young company. Candidates must have experience within the luxury FMCG sector, supplying hotel channels, and must be extremely well networked in this sector throughout the Middle East. Candidates from a beverage background would also be an excellent fit for this role. The General Manager of this small company will oversee all aspects of the organisation with the Company mission statement, including maximization of the successful expansion of the overall company, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and staff development within established quality standards. They will be the “Leader” of the company and take full ownership and accountability for the division’s performance, results, reputation in the market place. Establish and guide the company as the market leader in the Middle East. Must perform each essential duty and responsibility as listed below in a safe and satisfactory manner, whilst being customer and stakeholders focused. Overall Main Responsibilities ? Together with the Group Executives assess opportunities for growth and improvements. ? Establish and implement the Strategic business, Financial and operational plans and reports ? Responsible for the overall operations of the company ? Establish with the team procurement and logistic strategy ? Review and adapt the sourcing of products with the growth of the company ? Ultimate brand responsibility and P&L management accountability. ? Increase revenues and reduce costs in order to ensure the highest level of profitability for the group. ? Monitor the implementation of approved strategies to drive the performance of the company. ? Formulate and implement operations policies & procedures and quality systems. ? Prepare annual company budgets and monitor performance against the approved budgets. ? Provide guidance, development and training to assigned staff and encourage individual development, hiring and discipline process across the business. ? Ensure organization is running smoothly and efficiently in accordance to the company business development plans & objectives. ? Develops accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives consistent with the Company's mission statement. ? Establish and implement a sales structure to growth the business in the UAE and overall GCC ? Personal involvement to drive the sales process and manage some of the key accounts This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong sales background from the FMCG / Beverage industry to become the leader of a rapidly growing company ? MBA or Executive Degree in SC / CP or related ? Must have minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in FMCG/HORECA in the GCC. ? Must know supply chain, marketing tools and trade channels. ? Ability and willingness to surface and resolve sales challenges. ? Persuade the sales team to a course of action, Positive leadership, and constructive influence. ? Personally champion change/creativity, and supporting and challenge others to embrace changes. ? Ability to develop plans to accomplish targets and objectives on time. ? Ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues. ? Ability to perform with insight and market intelligence. ? Ability to maximize employee potential and foster high standards in line with the company’s vision, mission and goals ?
