The Communication Manager performs duties such as client consulting, press release, media roster monitoring and image building to ensure smooth brand building. He engages in promoting or creating good will for organizations, brands and clients by writing or selecting favourable publicity material and releasing it through various communications media. Main Responsibilities: Corporate and B To B: - Support the Head of Corporate Communication with the delivery of key campaigns for the business and partner activity. - Identify key PR targets and channels and implement media contact cultivation activities i.e.: setting up briefings and meetings for key media and stakeholders for the PR team. - Handle a portfolio of clients and is responsible for their entire PR presence. - Organize/facilitate corporate visits and presentations. - Organize Corporate Social Responsibility events and initiatives, and handle sponsorship matters. - Monitor publicity and conduct research to find out the concerns and expectations of an organization’s stakeholders. - Manage the flow of information between an organization and its publics. - Conduct and support the in research and writing corporate promotional materials. - Plan and direct development and communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public and stockholder perceptions of an organization's accomplishments and agenda. PR strategies and Management : - Plan, implement, develop and execute successful PR strategies and campaigns. - Assist in the development and implementation of PR, marketing and branding campaigns. - Build and maintain a permanent relationship with the press and the clients. - Build media collateral, Research, develop, write and distribute press releases and 'sell in' stories to key target media channels, execute campaign measurement and evaluation. - Create, develop (or adapt), put together the press kits and ensures they are dispatched as expected and on time. - Analyze creative needs, suggest ideas and Coordinate with the creative teams for all related tasks. - Prepare a brief for all the needs of the client/Brand and communicate with the client the creative work to take his approval. - Create and make presentations to both the clients and the media. - Undertake research for new business proposals and present to potential new clients. - Place and devise colour separations, competitions and advertorials for clients. - Manage the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation. - Increase client credibility and come up with ideas that can be translated into communications campaigns. - Create press materials including news releases, toolkits, and media advisories. - Manage campaign databases and assist in the roll-out of the campaigns. - Attend client meetings, develop case studies, organize events and pitch stories to press and potentially coordinating the client communications activity. - Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits for clients to increase product and service awareness and to promote goodwill. - Ensure that campaigns run to agreed client budgets. - Seek opportunities for free publicity. - Create, implement user surveys and conduct market and public opinion research to provide studies/insight for press releases. - Spearhead all client meetings to ensure smooth communication flow. - Coordinate ideas and opportunities for feature articles, interviews, presentations, and other public relations activities. - Work in close coordination with the journalists to ensure all possible media leads are generated and maximised especially when it is in relation to the organization/brand portfolio. - Confer with production and support personnel to produce or coordinate production of advertisements and promotions. - Study the objectives, promotional policies and needs of organizations to develop public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote ideas, products and services. - Consult with advertising agencies to arrange promotional campaigns in all types of media for products, organizations, or individuals. - Prepare and deliver speeches to further public relations objectives. - Prepare monthly media coverage report, monitor and analyze industry news.
