Our client is a contracting company and they are urgently looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to work in Bahrain. Duties & Responsibilities Manage all purchasing activities for the company in Bahrain. Evaluate all purchase acquisitions and purchase orders on regular basis. Analyse all costs to identify all causes and assist trade partners to resolve all old invoice issues. Maintain record. Maintain records of all purchase order and associate documents for all processes and maintain knowledge on all open order and its status and provide assistance to all purchasing staff and manage all calls for purchasing and delivery schedule. Analyse all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing. Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company. Develop purchasing or sourcing strategies based on portfolio analyses and supplier preferential study. Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet cost savings targets. Review and manage the supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy. Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions. Adopt appropriate supplier management methodologies and procurement strategies in purchasing to secure better prices. Prepare material requisition, LPO and run reports through EDMS database. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Business Administration, Procurement or Economics. Other related professional qualification is a plus. +10 yrs experience. Good decision making skills and abilities. Good supervisory skills. Able to stay within company’s budget. Have good research skills and abilities.
