The basic function of this position is to sell Company services to new and existing customers and to identify new markets and business opportunities. • Listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale. • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person, and via telephone calls and emails. • Arranging meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business. • Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets. • Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales. • Gathering market and customer information. • Cross selling of various services within COMPANY • Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations. • Negotiating on price and costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers. • Challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy. • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions. • Liaising with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders. • Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office. • Reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets. • Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements. • Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations. • Feeding future buying trends back to employers. • Attending team meeting and sharing best practice with colleagues. • Making and arranging collection schedules • Assisting in the distribution of invoices • Ensures quality & safety within function/ tasks performed. • Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self & others in the organization. • Responsible to comply with the applicable health & safety procedures, instructions, requirements, laws, regulations from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies. • Responsible for reporting to his superiors' occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect health, safety and company reputation. • Performs other duties as per requests. • Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing or a related discipline • Minimum of 4 years’ sales experience in a related field • Fluent in English • Knowledge of Arabic is desired • Previous sales experience in the GCC or Middle East is preferred • Excellent communication skills • Good presentation skills • Good interpersonal skills • Proven success in prospecting, building a pipeline, moving opportunities through the sales cycle, proposing, presenting and discussing solutions with decision-makers • Excellent computer skills - MS proficient Averda is an integrated group of companies covering the collection, treatment, recycling and sanitary landfilling of municipal solid waste, manufacturing, real estate and information technology.
