A reputable international consultancy firm is looking to recruit Contracts manager to be based in Doha, Qatar, with strong claims and forensic planning experience. This role involves leading infrastructure projects of large scale and managing contract and claims matters. Our client has gained strong global presence and are now managing some of the largest infrastructure projects in the region. Main responsibilities: • Provide contract and commercial expertise on major projects • Assist with dispute resolution and claims planning matters on large projects, including construction scheduling, delay and disruption analysis • Perform critical path analysis of schedules • Quantification of delay, damages and strategy formation • Ensure all programmes are consistent with the construction schedule and liaise with contractors when necessary • In the case of delay, disruption or loss of efficiency, manage the entitlement to EoT • Draft claims and negotiation strategies • Ensure compliance by setting up a standardised system and define the notification requirements under the contract for EoT • Develop of the works baseline programme using Primavera P6. • Prepare in anticipation for the defences to counterclaims and advice regarding retrospective analysis for EOTs, prolongation costs, disruption, programme critiques and delay analysis critiques Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or similar discipline is essential • Ideally MSc Construction Law & Arbitration • Preferably further educational qualification such as MCIArb/MRICS/other • 15 - 20 years of post-graduate experience • Good contractual experience with excellent technical knowledge • Solid background in forensic planning and claims • Excellent management skills alongside their commercial acumen. • Previous experience working on major roads and highways projects is essential • Proven ability to successfully deliver in a challenging environment • Proven experience dealing with contractor and consultants claims and disputes is essential • Knowledge of Primavera schedule tools • Ideally Middle East experience The name MENASA originates from both the geographical region of Middle East, North Africa & South Asia as well as the Arabic word for platform or stage.
