Job Purpose: • To aid and assist in the development and growth of Bancassurance business through all sales channels in the Bank. • To achieve budgeted revenue targets for the year by effectively driving all internal and external sales teams involved in the sourcing of Bancassurance business. • To ensure qualitative, quantitative and consistent growth in Bancassurance business generation through all sales channels in the Bank. Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities • To ensure bringing about a planned and systematic growth in Bancassurance revenue generation through the Direct Sales, Branch and Alternate sales channels in the Bank, excluding phone banking. • To guide reporting managers towards ensuring maximum staff participation in the current incentive plans and make/propose changes if required, in order to sustain individual staff productivity and performance. • To liaise with department heads and sales managers of all sales channels in the bank and work towards a planned and sustainable growth of Bancassurance business throughout the bank. • To take necessary steps to bring about increased cross sell of Bancassurance products by all departments in the bank. • To guide the direct sales, branch and alternate channel teams to capitalise on Cross Sell Opportunities across departments. • To build an effective sales culture and a multi- product sales environment in the team through strong sales and relationship management principles and practices. • To formulate sales and marketing plans / strategies, monthly and annual sales and cost budgets, sales presentations, and approval papers for business related requirements. • To ensure strict adherence to all sales and service activities as laid out in the OP and the bank’s policies related to compliance. • To conduct periodic sales reviews and take corrective steps to improve and boost Bancassurance business. • To review sales and team related MIS at periodic intervals to monitor and manage the business along the planned lines. • To monitor monthly achievements against budgeted revenue generation figures. • To work very closely with the Business Manager and Head of the department to ensure prompt and effective execution of tasks resulting in business growth and sustenance. • To manage the retention team and ensure business retention is within acceptable levels.
