Aquila Consulting are working in partnership with a major System Integrator operating throughout the Middle East. Due to growth within the region for Security Solutions and ELV projects, they have an opening for a successful Operations Manager to run the Dubai based projects with a view to expanding the business.
Reporting to the General Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong Sales and Business Development background coupled with an excellent knowledge of the UAE market.
Working with a successful project team, the Operations Manager will be responsible for:
- Establishing contact with clients by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing current marketing strategies.
- Determining customer needs and developing a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of product offerings.
- Managing each project and overall divisions P & L
- Develop technical applications/installation of Electronic Systems products in conjunction with team members
- Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, and perform necessary follow-ups for the successful closing of sale.
- Arrange for and/or coordinate delivery and installation.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems in regard to delivery dates, billings and financing.
- Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact in pursuit of increased sales volume.
- Participate at trade shows, special product demonstrations, and other events with the objective of increasing sales and enhancing the Company's image.
- Provide feedback to marketing regarding new product/services opportunities.
- Effective Coaching and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong work ethic, commitment, sense of accountability, integrity and urgency.
- Strong analytical and logical skills. Results oriented. - Electrical or Electronic Engineer with at least 8 years experience in a similar type role
- Must be a strong sales person with a proven track record of developing profitable businesses
- Knowledge of integrated security, access and fire alarm systems is mandatory, Experience working with electrical contractors.
- Exposure to computer/applications software a must.
