a. Developing procedures, work instructions, checklists etc as appropriate and support maintaining and improving the asset compliance to ISO and other quality systems.
b. Review and develop procedures for improving electrical & instrumentation reliability and performance and optimize maintenance cost.
c. Carries out various duties related to electrical facility operation such as power system monitoring, switching and transfer
d. Review, analyze, cost estimation and prepares or reviews design work related with minor and major capital projects for modifications / upgrades / re-engineering to existing systems or installation of new systems, executed by maintenance department.
e. Development of the electrical & Instrument preventive maintenance schedule in conjunction with supervisor / planning department. Follows-up and gives work direction to the electrical foreman on specific preventative or corrective maintenance tasks.
f. Studies and analyses frequent / repeated failures / bad actors and proposes appropriate solutions.
g. Participate in preparation of capital and operating budgets.
h. Ensuring compliance to maintenance requirements of safety systems, HSE policy and procedures.
i. Working closely and supporting the team in troubleshooting and rectification of mal-functions / failures. Identifying the root cause and suggests short and long term corrective actions, aiming at improving the reliability.
j. Identification of spares and planning stocking of spares to ensure availability of all critical spares. Identifying the inter-changeability and optimizing the inventory.
k. Identifying items becoming obsolete or having maintainability issues, developing solutions and appropriate action plans and support implementation of the same in liaison with concerned departments.
l. Reviewing, analyzing the causes of problems, conducting RCA, in liaison within department, vendors, licensors, etc., investigating by physical checking and documentary evidence, proposing solutions for implementation, or preparing report and recommendations for approval.
m. Designs minor plant modifications in area of responsibility and follows through project to completion.
n. Provide technical training to the junior staff. Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation OR Electronics OR Electrical
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical industry, which shall include minimum 05 years of experience in maintenance function.
Technical Skills:
• Should be proficient with maintenance of equipment in the Instrumentation discipline like the following:
- HART and FF field instruments
- Various types and makes of control valves, hydraulic actuators and servo valves etc.
- Anti-surge and performance control systems
- Machine monitoring and protection systems
- Various types of flow meters like turbine, ultrasonic, coriollis, thermal mass flow etc.
- Flow metring systems
- Batch control systems and related instruments
- Loading systems
- Electrical Power & UPS Systems
- HV / LV motors & CP System knowhow
• High level of technical skills on control systems like DCS, ESD, FGS, PLC systems, Governing systems, integrated control systems for rotating machinery are essential.
• Shall have a fair knowledge / understanding of maintenance of other disciplines within maintenance
• High level of technical skills and experience on process analysers, fire & gas systems will be an advantage.
• Basic PC skills are essential.
• Strong grasp of Quality and Safety standards and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of CMMS software, preferable SAP.
