A leading worldwide Oil & Gas operator is looking to recruit a SURF QA/QC Superintendent on a contract / consultant basis.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The service holder is responsible, within the SURF team and under the SURF Company Site Representative's supervision, for following-up, monitoring and supervising Construction and QAQC (the discipline) activities carried out by the SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors at the BT / SP fabrication site, ensuring that his discipline's contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by the Contractor and/or Subcontractors.
- He will be involved in the ascertainment and follow up of fabrication methodology of the buoyancy tanks and suction piles including main structural fabrication, piping assembly, hydrotest, coating and testing.
- In this respect, and to ascertain that the equipment / facilities are built as per the project requirements, the service holder verify and approve Contractor's and/or Subcontractors' drawings, fabrication procedures and methodologies, and ensure that Contractor and/or Subcontractors have adequate equipment, resources, means and manpower to perform the service with the required safety and quality level and to compete it in due time.
- The service holder will have to ensure that QC activities are duly performed by the Contractor and/or Subcontractors.
- He reports on a day-to-day basis directly to the SURF Company Site Representative and provides support and assistance to the SURF Company Site team with regards to issues related to his discipline.
- The service holder organises and participates to routine and random inspections and audits, assists to daily / regular Fabrication meetings related to his discipline with SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors, performs QA/QC and/or HSE visits and tours... and ensures an adequate reporting to the SURF Company Site Representative (areas of concerns, problems encountered in its discipline during fabrication by SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors).
- The Service holder participates to the review and comments of SURF Contractor's and/or Subcontractors' Project Site documentation applicable in the perimeter of the relevant SURF Fabrication site (Fabrication plans, fabrication drawings …) and ensures their full implementation by SURF Contractor and/or Subcontractors. - Minimum 10 years QC Inspection experience, and 5 years' experience in a similar role.
