Our client is a prominent shopping mall, retail and leisure developer across the MENA Region. They seek a Head of Operations for a Joint Venture within their retail division. The role will be responsible for retail store standards and driving continuous improvement in all aspects of store operations that provides the customer with an outstanding shopping experience. Job responsibilities will include but not limited to the following: • Achieving sales targets through pro-actively driving the business strategy • Identifying and generating profit improvements opportunities • Establishing sales budget for presentation and discussion with the General Manager • Analyzing business information and drive direction as required, including the analysis of individual store performance in relation to sales/space/density • Establishing the highest operational standards, practices and processes, through store signature standards and visual merchandising guidelines • Driving promotional opportunities and events in store in agreement with the marketing manager • Drive the loss prevention agenda and ensure stock loss is minimized, by creating store action plans as required • Ensuring the delivery of new stores openings and refurbishments are on time and within cost • Coach and develop stores to ensure the right skills and people are in place to deliver the required behavior. • Developing a sales focused retail team through establishing the right culture and environment • Ensuring training and development needs are identified and addressed at all levels • Managing the delivery of the company’s KPI’s, controllable costs and stock loss/audit. The successful candidate should match the following skills and requirements: • Proven record of delivering exceptional customer service and initiating/delivering company requirements • Cultural awareness and sensitivity relating to multi nationalities • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and oral). • Evidence of successfully developing and motivating a regional team to deliver the Company targets/ KPI’s.
