This new role will be a key player in the Planning and Asset Management group of this petrochemical group. The Scheduling Supervisor position requires extensive knowledge and ability to plan and schedule maintenance activities. In-depth understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (especially the use of MAPCON) is necessary. Labor, material planning and excellent communication skills are required. Assists the plant in providing the necessary maintenance resources and record keeping that is required to increase plant productivity, assist in maintenance work preparations to improve work efficiencies and increase plant performance. Key Duties and Responsibilities ? Must be able to identify and prioritize multiple projects and perform work with a constant awareness of improving processes. ? Uses MAPCON to develop a daily work schedule to secure adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance. ? Audit assignments and resources to ensure repair schedules and performance expectations are met. that all maintenance work including planned and unplanned work is scheduled through MAPCON. ? Prepare and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule. ? Plan all activities associated with planned plant outages under the direction of the Senior Superintendent Planning to provide for maximum use of available resources. ? Assist in securing the scheduling of outside resources on an as needed basis. ? Provide input to management and suggest improvements for efficiency. ? Responsible for notifying Senior Superintendent Planning of any problems or issues with scheduling. ? Complete any and all tasks assigned by Senior Superintendent Planning. ? Maintain confidentiality of all records and company matters. ? Maintain high level of service and work performance, and also support and promote a positive and cooperative team environment which fosters creative problem solving and shared learning. HR – Leadership ? Assist in the manpower planning to include recruitment, training and development of multi-cultural staff. ? Manage the effective achievement of Planning Department objectives through the setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, providing timely formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and the performance of the Planning Department. . ? A degree or diploma qualification is required. Experience and Qualifications: 5+ years of direct experience as Scheduling Supervisor or Maintenance Planner, within a Fortune 200 company, such as: Petroleum, Chemical, Fertilizer/Mining or other Industrial Manufacturing organizations. Experience in mineral processing is an asset. ? Experience in working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is required. ? Supervisory skills, budgeting, planning, forecasting and staff development skills ? Proven track record of scheduling for other major Industrial Manufacturing organizations ? Excellent relationship building skills (internal and external) ? Strong work ethic and be able to adhere to company, policies, and standard business etiquette. ? Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English required, ? Self-starter with minimal supervision for routine activities. ? Extensive computer skills in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) plus other software pertinent to the work performed would be advantageous. ? Ability to work with diverse populations, and foster a cooperative team environment. ?
