Role Overview
Mid-level Contracts manager looking after the internal Practice’s contractual landscape in addition to Project Contract Management.
Reporting to the Legal Manager and Quality Risk Management Partner.
Responsibilities:
Legal:
- Review ongoing project on any lifecycle legal, reputational or other risks
- Liaise with relevant leadership, functions or industries to ensure that legal risks have been identified, and recommend actions.
- Provide legal and risk management advice to management especially on contract management, contracting risk and deal structuring.
Contract negotiation:
- Manage contractual landscape of the current opportunity
- Assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention.
- Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various delivery activities.
- Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions and prepare and advise on the necessary checklist to be adopted to ensure information is submitted on time.
Contract Management:
- Review, edit and negotiate Change Orders and Amendments to the Services Agreement.
- Review, edit and negotiate basic contracts and other transactional documents (e.g. SOWs, NDAs, Change Orders, and Amendments) throughout the continuance of the Engagement
- Liaison with the Engagement management team, Quality Risk Assurance and internal Legal
- Serve as a point of contact or liaison between Deloitte and the Client.
- Interpret expectations, obligations, assumptions and provide a business analysis for consideration, and coordinate and document change
- Develop, in collaboration with the overseeing functions, and implement a Contracts Management System
- Communicate expectations and standards with key stakeholders
- Protect interests, property, confidential information and marks.
- Communicate and summarize contract and business deal proposition to present to leadership
- Assist in managing client relationship in phase contract execution, including monitoring of adherence to service levels and resolving disputes.
Service and product risk management:
- Deep understanding of the different service and product offerings delivered in the Engagement together with their inherent risks.
- Classifying, evaluating, and monitoring risks, and implementing mitigations for the risks identified - 3-7 years Post Qualification Experience
- Degree(s)
- LL.B or equivalent (Risk and or Contracts Management may be considered)
- Consulting experience preferential

- Admitted Attorney(Solicitor), Procurement Contract Qualified, Qualified Negotiator
