Accountable for the 24/7 robust planning and delivery of all aspects of the Catering Operation worldwide. Works cross-organisationally to deliver all aspects of the onboard service requirement, ensuring that all flights depart on time and with the correct specification of catering, bars and dry stores. Leads, manages and develops the supplier community Bond staff and internal teams to deliver the highest standards of consistency and safety.
A
Strategic and Operational
* Accountable for the daily operational aspects of Catering Services including taking appropriate action and for making timely decisions, based often on incomplete information, to ensure delivery of catering at all times 24/7 whilst protecting safety and operational integrity.
* Accountable for providing the strategic direction to the performance management of all service providers to ensure that the agreed service is consistently delivered with budget at the highest possible standard at the lowest cost.
* Accountable for ensuring that Services Providers deliver award winning 5 star Inflight ServiceA and plans and ensures the application of robust service level agreements to incentivise the same .
* Responsible for the strategic plan which delivers co-ordination of Delivery activities between the Bond Store, catering suppliers, worldwide airports and the DOH hub during normal and disrupted operations.
* Accountable for the development of a strategic plan delivering greater efficiency of delivery of all dry and bonded store items ensuring best value to the airline at all times.
Financial
* Accountable for the daily delivery of the catering budget which is 90+% DOC.
* Takes responsibility for time- bound operational decisions which directly impact cost ensuring that safety and operational integrity are maintained whilst ensuring that the Delivery team always operate within the requirements of corporate governance.
* Drives reduction in spend on weight, wastage and uplifts with exposure of upwards of $5m pa. Is accountable for per passenger spend in these areas as well as of stock holdings in the Bond Stores etc.
Management & Leadership
* Leads directs and develops teams responsible for the Bond Store, Caterer Performance Management and 24/7 operational management ensuring robust feedback and internal performance management and a high level of service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Establish the department or team's objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
* Regularly evaluates the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed working with the Catering Services and Services Partner teams at all times.
Development
* Take responsibility for own ongoing personal development and growth of expertise.
* Train and develop other employees, developing proper succession planning and risk management .

Operational Safety
* Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work, health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, training, and supervision. Ensures managers carryout their responsibilities in this regard.
* Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security,A qualityA and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the operation to assure passenger and employee safety, security, legislative compliance and delivery of high quality service with a responsible environmental attitude.
* Take a direct and personal interest in reported injuries, incidents, near misses and hazards to ensure that appropriate reporting, investigation and response is being achieved Qualifications

* Bachelors degree or equivalent

Previous Experience

* Executive Management - minimum 10 years of job -related experience required
* Working in a n operational role within large multi- cultural operational teams preferably within airlines/ airline catering

* Experience of working for an airline caterer would be an advantage
Job Specific Skills

* Experience of working at a senior level in an operational / semi operational environment.
* Ability to cope with a high degree of ambiguity and change
* High level of computer literacy especially in regard to MS Excel
* Native English speaker or holds a minimum CEFR C2 level qualification or equivalent
* Excellent written and verbal communication and project management skills
* Managerial skills- Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills . Ability to foster teamwork among team members
* Experience of managing an absentee team and suppliers
Preferred
* In depth knowledge of global catering operations and suppliers
* Arabic language skills will be an advantage
