The position will be working at the head office for one of the largest main contractors in the world. My client is looking for a candidate with a proven track record working for a leading main contractor on flagship projects as this role will be covering the MENA region. A compliance manager shall be responsible for carrying out the following tasks: 1. Overseeing the operation of the Compliance Program within his or her department or a particular group within the department 2. Providing assistance to the Chief Compliance Officer in his or her operation of compliance control activities. 3. Creating plans for intra-department operation of the Compliance Program (including compliance training) and implementing the plans. 4. Conducting audit to determine whether the requirements of obtaining consent and prior consultation under Article 14 of these Regulations are being complied with. 5. Conducting audit to determine whether internal regulations are being properly maintained to reflect any changes to relevant laws and regulations. 6. Conducting intra-department audit and addressing the results by planning measures for making improvements after discovery of violations and devising preventive measures. 7. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and the Compliance Committee on: / Vice President. A. the status of compliance control-related tasks such as creating and implementing plans for intra-department operation of the Compliance Program as set out in Paragraph 3 of this Article and conducting intra-department audit and addressing the results as set out in Paragraph 6 of this Article; B. violations of any of the relevant laws and regulations; and C. claims, disputes, criminal suits filed against the Company. 8. Providing counseling for employees who have been coerced to violate any of the relevant laws and regulations or who have become privy to such danger. Over 30 years of local industry experience.
