Civil Engineer - Solar Power Project Allen & York are currently recruiting a Civil Engineer to join an International EPC who have been selected by DEWA for construction of a groundbreaking power plant in Dubai. The development which has been scheduled to be completed by 2030 and will play a pivotal role in the development of Dubai's Renewable Energy Strategy. The position is for a site-based Civil Engineer (6 days/week) and will report to the Project Director. Key responsibilities will include: • Supervision of sub-contractors • Site inspection of civil engineering activities • Review of design documentation • Regular liaison with the client (DEWA) and Project Developer • Quality Control • Compliance of relevant HSE Applicants are expected to possess the following attributes: • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering • Minimum of 7 years applied experience in Civil Engineering - preferably in a site supervision role • Practical hands-on site experience • Proactive can-do attitude • Fluent written & verbal English communication skills • Available to start by start of March 2016 A competitive all-inclusive remuneration package will be on offer to the selected candidate, with the employer providing full coverage of visa and medical insurance costs.
