Planning and Organizing production schedules: - Set the working schedule for the production department - Implement and control the production schedule - Review and adjust the schedule when needed - Ensure that the working schedule is followed as per the Human Resources policy - Determine the material resources needed for production - Manage the equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement needed for production - Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments such as Purchasing & Quality Department, Supply Chain Department, Sales Department, and Executive Management Production Budgets: - Prepare and manage Production Budgets - Estimate production costs - Implement cost control programs - Coordinate with Finance Department to ensure that budgeted cost is under control Staff Training: - Conduct cross-trainings for the flexibility of the employees - Ensure that the safety policy is being implemented to all employees PROJECTS - Capital project programs for new equipment and Major Modification: - Managing capital project programs in technical aspects - Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and compliance with the standards. - Perform FAT inspection of the equipment’s/machineries. - Provide reports and data with regards in existing and potential engineering studies and projects - Confer with Management, contractors and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and Modification Dealing with Local Authorities: - Liaise with Civil Defense, Food Authorities, and Environmental Protection Department. - Liaise with government authorities for the Plans and activities approval for EMF and IBRA. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Preparation and Implementation of SOPs: - Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations - Ensure that standard operating procedures are implemented. - Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures Quality Standards Implementation: - Set product quality standards in conjunction with QHSE department. - Monitor quality standards of products - Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives - Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems Maintenance: - Manage and control the periodic and preventive maintenance programs - Make sure activities related to maintenance are effective and complement the production plan Research and Development: - Determine and implement improvements to the production process - Develop a new designs, materials and device structures - Identification and deployment of advanced technologies and designs for new products. - Research on competitors’ products and check the room for improvement in in-house products. - Suggests changes and improvements to increase productivity and reduce cost CUSTOMER SERVICE DUTIES: - Maintains staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results - Provide proper awareness training to machine operators, labours, and helpers for the standard operating procedures in productions - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed - College Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Production) - 5 years’ work experience in FMCG Skills and Knowledge: - Good Communication Skills - Technical background - Analytical Skills - Team Leader - Food Science - Technical - Pasta Technological Knowledge - AutoCAD A leading FMCG food manufacturing company.
