Reporting to the Managing Director, the candidate is responsible for the entire function of the Finance Department of the company including preparing the annual budget, implementing cash management, overseeing the preparation of in-house and audited financial reports, dealing with the banks, and taking measures to reduce cost and enhancing productivity. Main responsibilities and accountabilities: 1.Preparing the annual company budget taking into considerations all aspects of the company operations 2.Ensuring smooth operation of the Finance department using streamlined processes, procedures and work flow, supported by Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system using Sage Accpack 100 system 3.Dealing with the company’s bankers on a regular basis and ensuring facilities are maintained within approved limits and seeking enhanced facilities as and when required 4.Maintaining a system of accounts and keeping records on all company transactions and assets. 5.Developing and implementing various accounting procedures. 6.Implementing and monitoring credit risk by maintaining robust credit policies and regular monitoring of receivables 7.Reviewing accounts receivables payables and ensuring timing collection of receivables. 8.Determining proper handling of financial transactions and approving transactions within designated limits. 9.Contributing to the achievements of the company objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategies. 10.Reviewing reports and analyses projections of sales & income against actual figures. 11.Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. 12.Liaising with auditors to ensure annual audit is carried out on time. 13.Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. Auditors, Solicitors, and Bankers. Only candidates with the following qualifications and skills will be considered: 1.Chartered accountant with over 7 years of experience in financial management at a middle management level or above, of which at least 3 years in a manufacturing company in the UAE. 2.Prior experience of at least 2 years in an ERP environment as it relates to the finance function, preferably using Sage Accpack system 3.Knowledge and implementation of International Accounting Standards 4.Excellent written and verbal communication. 5.Independent team player with proven leadership skills. 6.Results and task-orientated 7.Can handle pressure and deadlines Dubai Blocks Factory had been established in 2009 on a 200,000sq.ft at the Industrial area of the Red Island affiliated to Ras Al-Khaima Investment Authority.
