Norconsulting is urgently looking for a Project Architect to be based in Qatar. The Project Architect will work with the design management team to produce design solutions to be implemented on commercial buildings construction projects. (High-rise, Mixed-use buildings, Hospitals, schools, shopping centres) - Provides architectural oversight to staff, construction contractors and provides filed clarification and input to contractors - Retains ownership of design and ensure that design proposals are not unduly influenced by clients opinions - Liaising with clients to develop architectural solutions - Develops feasibility studies and sketch concepts - Monitors work during construction for conformance with architectural plans and specifications - Reviews and approves submittals, change order requests and attends project close-out meetings and provides feedback upon project completion - Maintain appropriate project records and statistics for administration and regulatory purposes and perform other tasks as required - Conducts meetings with appropriate internal and external contacts and site inspections to gather information - Responsive to client requirements and seeks to ensure that design proposals balances requirements with improved patient experience - Liaises with other staff in the project-technical and support staff - Experience in Building services is mandatory. - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture - Professional registration or membership would be preferred - A minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience - Fluency in English is essential with excellent written English language skills. - Strong relationship management skills and personally confident to effectively address and influence stakeholders; - Ability to focus on business requirements, ensuring activity is of high value - Extensive international, industry network and experience; - Proven ability to drive efficiency through the adoption of appropriate technology and interactive ways of working; - Customer focus with a drive to deliver exceptional customer service; - Delivery focused individual with the ability to work in a self-sufficient manner; - Ability to build strong working relationships/networks with all stakeholders and maintain a high degree of integrity; - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to ensure that employee communications drives engagement across all levels; - Ability to coach and develop people managers; - Strong planning, organising and administrative skills - CAD and REVIT experience is a must Norconsulting is a specialised recruitment firm helping companies place highly qualified staff in both permanent and contract positions with clients worldwide, recruiting both locally and internationally in the following areas: Engineering, Oil & Gas, IT and Telecoms.
