1. Risk assessment / Analysis / Profiling under the underwriting guidelines of the department. 2. Gathering and assessing background information in order to effectively assess the risks. 3. Risk presentation to the Underwriting Manager with all of the above info. 4. Liaising with specialists, such as surveyors for better understanding of the risk. 5. Liaising with re-insurance section, if required. 6. Preparing quotations based on analysis and advices of the Underwriting Manager 7. Working in conjunction with the booking and underwriting teams to ensure working practices are in place, e.g. identifying process improvements, providing feedback to reduce rework or errors and escalate any blockages to Underwriting Manager where necessary. 8. Liaising with all other support departments for smooth functioning of the department. 9. Helping the Underwriting Manager finding gaps in the procedures/ systems to attain the best for all stakeholders. 10. Preparing periodical reports for management presentation 11. Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time. 1. Bachelor Degree with 5 years’ solid experience in General Insurance Underwriting / Master Degree with 3 years’ experience in General Insurance General Insurance Underwriting 2. IFCE passed. 3. Must be moderately familiar with requirements relating to insurance regulations and practices. 4. Computer literate and proficient in using MS office programs. 5. Good Communication Skills including spoken and written English. 6. Must to be able to recognize and work to deadlines and achieve target SLA. 7. Time Management 8. Presentation Skills 9. Effective team player with leader qualities 10. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work and relate well with co-employees, customers. 11. Having the behavioral sensitivity, maturity, diplomacy and tact in addressing complex situations and handling irate customers. 12. Strong ethics and high level of personal and professional integrity.
