We are a medium sized retail company with 8 stores in the GCC looking to recruit a new Logistics and Warehousing Manager. This is a small team that requires someone who is very hands on in terms of receiving and dispatching of stock, stock allocation for store orders, managing all communications with the freight forwarders, inventory management in the stores and warehouse and customs and duties. You will manage one person who is highly capable and can be developed further. Key areas of responsibility will include: • Preparing store orders • Uploading store deliveries on retail pro • Managing internal stock transfers through retail pro • Uploading all new SKU codes into the system for each new shipment arriving from supplier • Managing all communication from start to finish with freight forwarders for all import and export shipments • Prepare all paperwork for customs clearance to exit the DAFZA • Prepare bill of lading. • Follow up all deliveries to GCC countries and Turkey (Air, Sea, Road)– check it is received, adjust any discrepancies. • Arrange laborers for when shipments arrive into DAFZA • Manage the product placement and general warehousing up keep in DAFZA and outside of DAFZA. • Manage the certificate of origin In order to be considered for this role the candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in handling the full logistics and warehousing function and have managed shipments across GCC not just UAE. Ideally you will come from a retail or FMCG logistics background, understanding about annual inventories. All candidates must have excellent English, spoken and written and have strong communication skills to manage all freight forwarder and store dialog (written and verbal). You must have a driving license and will be expected to visit the Al Quoz site at least once every week or visit ministry offices for the paperwork. This is a mid-management level role and will report to the GM of Logistics and Merchandise. This is a high pressured role that requires someone highly organized, excellent on Excel and MS office and who has worked on some sort of ERP/Oracle system. Male candidates are preferred due to the physical nature of this position as there will be considerable lifting of boxes etc. Fluency in Hindi would be an advantage but not a must.
